Bridget + Andrew | Hershey Lodge Intimate Wedding | Hershey, PA
I recently had a photog-friend ask me what my ideal wedding day decor and venues were. A simple question, right? Not for me. I honestly couldn't answer it at the time. I love that each of my couples marches to the beat of their own drum and honestly, every wedding I shoot is SO different from the last. If I only ever photographed one "kind" of wedding I'd be out of this industry so fast from boredom...
But then I showed up to Bridget and Andrew's intimate, tropical paradise with a dash of Star Wars wedding ceremony. And now I know what kind of florals I could photograph for the rest of my wedding photographer career. I'm sure it helps that I'm a crazy plant lady too and Bridget had ALL my favorites.
Did I mention that the lovely bride, Bridget, made all of the florals too?!? Oh and her dress...what CAN'T this woman do?!?!! Andrew was a smart man to scoop her up and put a ring on it! She's a super talented florist based out of Lancaster County. It's always a little scary photographing other vendors. Especially ones I truly admire. Add in an amazing baker, Flouretta Sweet, who knocked it out of the tropical plant park and I knew I needed to do their work justice!
Thanks to Covid this was just Andrew and Bridget's ceremony and they will host a baller reception next year with all their loved ones joining them. For a small ceremony though...they nailed it. Gorgeous florals everywhere, an amazing 5-course meal, and of course enough love between the two to fill the entire Hershey Lodge. Not bad, yall, not bad... Now I'm even MORE excited to party and celebrate with you two next year!!!
