Alisha + Jill | Same-Sex Small, Intimate Wedding | Lancaster, PA

Alisha and Jill's wedding was the perfect way to kick off my 2021 wedding season. I’ve always felt like my job was a privilege. Because well...it is. But this past year has really cemented that feeling for me. Being one of FIVE people in a room (two of which were Alisha and Jill) and getting to stand just feet away from two ordinary people on such an extraordinary day in their lives is truly an honor. I don't think there was a dry eye in the room during their ceremony. Definitely not my eyes...

Alisha and Jill's original wedding plans took a turn due to Covid. But like many of my couples, they couldn't wait any longer to be married. Can't say I blame them! Regardless of original plans, their wedding day was absolute perfection. And to any other couples out there in similar situations, I want to remind you that the single most important part of a wedding day is marrying your best friend. Not celebrating that with 200 people. Although that's fun too...

The wedding day started with me and Jill meeting Alisha at the stunning Wilbur Lititz Hotel. We did a quick first look and few snuggly portraits before heading to the Grandview United Methodist Church. Alisha and Jill walked together down the aisle to meet their friends who would be marrying them. They exchanged heartfelt vows (hence my tears) and smiled the biggest grins the entire time before saying, "I do."

Afterward, they joined their family and friends at Harvest in Lancaster for a five (or was it six?) course meal. SO GOOD. Jill gave a quick toast and after some coaxing (and alcohol) they shared their beautiful vows out loud to their loved ones. Congrats again, Alisha and Jill!!!
