Rachael + Lane | Rustic-Chic Wedding | Elizabethtown, PA
I wish I could kick off wedding season every year with a wedding as sweet as Rachael and Lane’s. Of course, all weddings are filled with sweet moments, but man was this wedding full of them! So many times I caught myself getting teary eyed behind my camera. During Rachael’s first look with her dad, their joy-filled ceremony, Lane’s first dance with his daughter, or during the surprise song sung by Rachael’s dad during their father-daughter dance. There I was tearing up like a little baby. The song was Daughters by John Mayer’s if you wanna know why it was so emotional. Thanks a lot, John Mayer!
Don’t worry though, the day was filled with lots of laughter too! Lane’s groomsmen kept us all, and most importantly Lane, laughing throughout the day. The girls were not to be outdone though. Sarah, Rachael’s Sister, knocked it out of the park with her Maid of Honor speech. I loved reminiscing about baby Connor. Who is baby Connor, you ask? Rachael’s baby doll from childhood who was VERY much a part of the Heckman household growing up. Did I mention I grew up TWO houses down from Rachael and Sarah? Which is where Rachael and Lane’s wedding took place. I could not think of a more perfect place for the two of them to start their lives together.
