Andrea + Ben | Rocky Mountain National Park Wedding | Destination Elopement
Every year I host an ugly Christmas sweater party at my house and ask everyone to bring a non perishable food item for the local food bank. So when my friend, Jenny, asked if her brother and his fiancé could come along of course I said yes. More items for the food bank, right? They came a little later in the evening and I'll admit I was a bit tipsy by then... I vaguely remember complimenting Andrea on her amazing apple necklace and playing board games with Ben. In the morning when I went to clean up I was surprised to find everything was already done. Ben and Andrea, complete strangers at the time, were kind enough to cover and put the food away for me. I didn't know it at the time, but this was just a small inkling of what kind and generous people they are.
A few weeks letter I received an email from Ben asking if I would like to photograph their wedding in Estes Park, Colorado. Heck yea!! A few months later Nate and I on a plane to go spend a week with two people I randomly met at a party and their families. The universe is a weird and wonderful place!
Both families welcomed me and Nate with warm hearts and open arms. I got to know both Ben and Andrea really well leading up to their wedding day. I loved riding through The Rocky Mountains in a packed car with Ben and hearing him say how in awe of Andrea he is. How much he admires her go getter attitude and is a constant inspiration to him. Andrea is the perfect complement to Ben in every way. When Ben needs a push she's there to push him. When Ben's being goofy she's there with her one of a kind giggles. They both are such easygoing and incredibly kind people and I was blessed to be apart of their special day.
