Matt + Chris | Longwood Gardens Engagement Session | Kennett Square, PA

This fall I had the pleasure of exploring Longwood Gardens with Matt and Chris for their engagement session. It was the perfect fall day for a photo shoot with just the right amount of fall colors still on the trees. It was a little chilly, but luckily Matt and Chris had each other to keep warm.

When shooting any couple it's important to listen to them as well as ask them the right questions to make sure you're reflecting their true personalities. And not just shooting them the same way you'd shoot any and every couple... This is especially important when shooting same-sex couples. What works for some might not work for all.

I explained this to Matt and Chris and we were quickly able to figure out which poses worked and didn't work for them. Like super "cutesy" poses just didn't feel like "them". However, snuggling and uncontrollably laughter was right up their alley! Then on their wedding day, we won't waste any time on poses that just don't reflect them. And who doesn't like more time to celebrate your marriage with your family and friends?!
