Katie + Jared | Historic Acres of Hershey Wedding | Elizabethtown, PA
I was SO excited when Katie reached out to me about the possibility of photographing her and Jared's special day at Historic Acres of Hershey. I had photographed her sister and brother-in-law's wedding not too long ago and I absolutely adored working with their family! I was excited about the opportunity that wedding photographers rarely get to see a family again after a wedding day.
And this family is tight-knit, yall! Katie and her sister are SO close. It's really sweet! So close they couldn't even look at each other during their speeches to one another or they'd start to tear up. So they both gave their speeches with their backs to each other. Dad might have had this issue too...
But for as close as the two are they are both so unique and different from each other. And I loved being able to see their personalities (as individuals and couples) shine in both of their weddings! Katie and Jared went the complete opposite direction of her sister and brother-in-law's Spring wedding and threw the perfect Winter wonderland wedding!
Imagine being snuggled up in front of a warm fire, in your favorite PJs, sipping on some hot cocoa (or something stronger...) and that's pretty much the feeling I felt all day at their wedding. Ya know, those warm fuzzy feelings. Beautiful evergreens everywhere, warm candlelight and of course lots of snuggles, love, and adorableness from Katie and Jared.
Katie and Jared are high school (or is it middle school?!) sweethearts. I loved seeing the photos of the two of them together throughout the years at their wedding. In comparison to a lot of couples their age, they've already had some time to practice the whole "for better or worse" thing and I'm so excited they get to put all that "practice" into play now that they are officially a married couple!! Congrats again Katie and Jared!
