Emily + Nick | Lancaster PA | Intimate Homespun Wedding
Saturday while the rain came down Nick and Emily tied the knot in the warm and intimate setting of Nick's aunt's home. Originally they had planned to get married in the backyard, but due to rain they had to move everything inside. In the end it made the wedding feel way more cozy and romantic than any outdoor setting ever could. And who else can say they got married in a basement?! A gorgeous basement by the way... with a pool room and home theater room. Perfect for fun bridal party pictures!
The first thing that was evident when I arrive was how excited Emily was to marry Nick. She was absolutely giddy. Her bridesmaids, who she's been friends with since she was little, seemed equally excited for her. They never left her side and it seemed like they were endlessly primping her for her special moment. Every time I turned around they were adjusting her necklace, putting her earrings in, and fluffing her dress. It was incredibly sweet and endearing to watch them prep their friend for her day.
My absolute favorite thing about Emily and Nick's wedding was the amount of times I heard them say, "I love you." I've never heard a bride and groom say it more than these two (and EGP couples say it a lot!!). It's easy to get swept up in the commotion of the day. People are constantly telling you what to do, where to go, and what time it is. These two never forgot to stop, take it all in and tell each other how much they love each other. It was a very beautiful thing and I feel honored to be apart of it.
Other vendors who helped make Emily and Nick's day special were DJ Rob Roberts, The Sunflower Lady, Cocoa Couture and the Elizabethtown College's Susquehanna Room staff.
