The Goretzke Family | Elizabethtown Fall Family Portraits | Elizabethtown, PA

I've had the honor of photographing the love of the Goretzke family for a while now. Since little Jakey was born! Since Mindy had goats and Mike didn't know how to smile... 😹 Glad both those things have changed! I've loved watching this family grow over the years. Honestly, keeping up with Mindy and the homestead is one of my favorite Instagram pastimes!

Mama bear and I have always bonded over gardening and herbalism. But now that the boys are getting older I'm starting to feel a bond with them too. And not just because Jake tries to flirt with me the entire portrait session ... Their childhood feels so similar to mine. A bit wild and free.

I grew up in the woods where our neighbors were pretty spaced out. It wasn't uncommon for my parents to "kick us out" and spend hours unsupervised roaming the woods. Of course, Jake and Branch are still too little for the kicking out part. But their parents allow them to roam around the property in their power wheels. Supervised of course. Not trying to make them look like unfit parents!

These boys really are living their best little boy lives. They get to play on their papa's big rig and help him work on it. Their days are filled with Tonka trucks and power wheels. The world (or at least their backyard) is their playground 💖
